The Sport Maxx is Dunlop's Max Performance Summer tyres developed for sports cars, coupes and saloons and designed to be exhilarating in the dry while reassuring in the wet, but they are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Sport Maxx tyres feature Dunlop's optimised blend of silica and high-structured carbon black tread compound which is moulded into a directional tread pattern comprising of large, independent shoulder blocks, Hydro-Paddle intermediate ribs and a stable continuous center rib. These features work together to keep more of the tyre on more of the road more of the time, improving water expulsion and maintaining constant road contact to produce more responsive handling, wet driving control and stability at high speeds.

The internal construction of the tyre includes twin steel belts reinforced by Dunlop’s Jointless Band (JLB) spirally wrapped nylon to provide high-speed durability while keeping the weight down. The tyres also feature a multi-radius profile with a rayon cord casing for high-speed performance and ride quality.
