If I buy my tyres online, how do I get them fitted?

We try to make everything as simple as possible for you. If you are buying tyres from us it should be just as easy to get them fitted on your car as if you drove to a high street tyre fitter.

When you place your order you can choose to have the tyres sent to an address of your choice or to one of network of over 500 Fitting Partners across the UK. The Fitting Centre will contact you when they have your tyres to arrange the most convenient time to take care of their fitting for you.

Can I buy tyres from you if the local garage I always use isn't one of your fitting centres?

If you are ordering loose tyres having them delivered to your home address means that you can take them to any garage you want to be fitted. So if you always like to support your local garage around the corner but they just don't have the tyres you need you can buy them yourself and take them there to be fitted. You get the right tyres at the right price and they get to keep providing you with the level of service you know and trust.

Can I fit the tyres myself?

Tyres must only be fitted and balanced onto wheels by a qualified mechanic, however, we employ those too! If you order a complete wheel we mount and balance the tyre on the rim for you before it leaves our warehouse so when it arrives at your house you can put them on your car yourself. If you are uncertain of how to do this we recommend you always seek help from a professional mechanic and we also recommend you have the wheel nuts properly tightened by a mechanic as well.

You don't seem to have the tyres I want in the size I need, can I choose a different size?

The tyres you fit to your car MUST be the correct size for both the car and the wheels. In some cases it is possible to choose a tyre of a different profile, however, we recommend that you search for your tyres using our car search tool to be certain that the tyres you buy are correct. If you need any help with please call Customer Services on 0330 80 80 999 and they can make sure you get the right tyres.

I have a lot of people talking about Winter Tyres... are they suitable for the UK?

Absolutely! Winter Tyres are not just designed for snow and ice but to outperform "normal" tyres whenever the temperature is below 7°, which it is for several months of the year in the UK. Most central and northern European countries have legislation requiring the use of Winter Tyres between November and March, however, in the UK it is still a matter of personal choice whether to fit them or not. You can find out more about Winter Tyres here.

I have heard that fitting Winter Tyres will invalidate my car insurance, is this true?

Absolutely not! Up until 2011 there were some cases reported in the media that the fitting of Winter Tyres could affect your insurance policy. These cases were very rare and were because at that time the UK insurance industry considered the fitting of Winter Tyres to be a "modification" that they needed to be notified of and in some cases required the increase of the insurance premium. In November 2011 the Association of British Insurers confirmed that the fitting of Winter Tyres will not affect the level of cover or premium of car insurance, however, they do recommend that you inform your insurance provider.
